25 Years Of IPCA: Launching a Universal Logo for Sustainability
As the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) completes 25 years in 2026, we are proud to mark our journey from a mission in 2001 to a nationwide movement for sustainability.
For over two decades, IPCA has worked on the ground - from building Material Recovery Facilities to strengthening the infrastructure and supply chain for low-value plastics and implementing EPR across India. To commemorate this journey, we created a special milestone.
16th October 2025 - Launch of Sustainability Day
On our 24th anniversary, IPCA launched Sustainability Day on 16th October 2025. The day was instituted to remind everyone that sustainability is not a one-time activity, but an everyday habit.
16th October 2026 - Launch of the Universal Sustainability Logo
One year later, on Sustainability Day 2026, in our 25th year, IPCA launches the Universal Sustainability Logo. This is a logo for the world. A simple, universally recognizable symbol that stands for sustainability itself.
Why this logo?
Today we have logos for recycling, for organic, for energy efficiency - but there is no single universal logo that says "I am sustainable." This logo fills that gap. And the most important part - This logo is open to all and free to use.
Any individual, school, startup, brand, shop, housing society, NGO, or corporate who is taking any step towards sustainability can use this logo. There is no approval needed. If you believe in sustainability, this logo is yours.
This logo is IPCA's gift to the world on its 25th anniversary. We invite you to download it, use it, and share it. Let's make sustainability universally known and universally practiced.
