Plant Today, Breathe Tomorrow

Borges India Pvt. Ltd. and Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) joined hands in February 2025 to promote urban greenery and create healthier, more sustainable spaces across Delhi. Through a phased plantation initiative, the project is transforming institutional and community spaces into greener ecosystems while encouraging collective participation in environmental conservation.

Phase 1 | Yojana Vihar, East Delhi

The first phase was undertaken across 1.08 acres near the CWG Yamuna Sports Complex in Yojana Vihar, East Delhi. More than 3,200 native saplings representing 20–50 species were planted using eco-friendly practices, including jute bags and organic fertilizers, to create a diverse and sustainable green ecosystem.

Phase 2 | Delhi Technological University (DTU)

In July 2025, the second phase brought the project to Delhi Technological University, where 3,000 saplings were planted across the 66.31-hectare campus under the theme “Rooting for a Sustainable Future.” The plantation drive brought together students, faculty members and key stakeholders to promote environmental responsibility and climate-resilient urban spaces. The event was graced by Shri Vishal Gupta, Managing Director, Borges India Pvt. Ltd.; Mr.Ashish Jain, Director, IPCA; Prof. Prateek Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, DTU; Shri Anshul Sirohi, Former Deputy Commissioner, MCD, Shahdara Zone; and Col. Gurang Jain.

Phase 3 | GGSIPU

The third phase was undertaken in September 2026 at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), where 2,000 saplings were donated and planted under the CSR initiative with active participation from students, faculty members and dignitaries. The event was graced by Dr. S. D. Singh, Chief Guest, Retd. IFS Officer and former Senior Consultant, National Rainfed Area Authority, Delhi; Prof. Varun Joshi, Dean, USEM, GGSIPU; and Mr. Ashish Jain, Founder-Director, IPCA and alumnus of the first batch of USEM, GGSIPU. The drive highlighted the importance of collective action, student participation and corporate support in building greener and more sustainable campuses.
