Programme (Project CHAMP) was launched by IPCA in collaboration with Forum for Air Quality (FAQ) in 2016. The project aimed to create “Clean Air Champions” in schools of Delhi/ NCR who are sensitized and informed about the concept of air pollution, its sources and its consequences. These champions will be trained to take action at individual level.

The project was implemented in five phases:

First phase– Training of students on air pollution, its causes, consequences, trends and solutions.
Second Phase– Formations of teams in schools and training of students on awareness raising and research skills.
Third phase– Teams implemented awareness generation and research activities in their school and nearby areas.
Fourth Phase– Evaluation of the best team and the winning teamwas awarded.
Fifth phase– Certified CHAMPs continued to fight for our right to clean air.
